The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional status sassa office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The support position designed for intervention encounters a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to empower the servicing of all consumers and improve usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
